DineOpen vs Foodics: which one is right for your Gulf restaurant?
Foodics is the big name in Saudi Arabia and across the Gulf, with ZATCA e-invoicing and its own payments. DineOpen is a lower-cost restaurant app that takes Talabat orders in automatically. Here is a fair look at both, including when you should pick Foodics.
If you are in Saudi Arabia, pick Foodics: it says it covers ZATCA e-invoicing and we do not claim that. In the UAE and other Gulf markets, DineOpen starts at AED 75 a month against Foodics at AED 199 (billed annually), brings Talabat orders in automatically, and you can try it free for 7 days.

Foodics prices are as listed on foodics.com in October 2026 for the UAE. Plans include different features, so compare what you need.
Which one is cheaper for a café in Dubai?
Foodics publishes UAE prices, which we respect. As listed on foodics.com in October 2026, Starter is AED 199 a month, Basic AED 375 and Advanced AED 556, all billed annually. Hardware is quoted separately after a demo.
DineOpen Starter in the UAE is AED 75 a month. Be careful with a straight price match, though. On Foodics, inventory and table management start at Basic, and loyalty and delivery aggregators sit in Advanced. Write down the four or five things your café really needs, then compare the plan on each side that covers them.
I am in Riyadh. Should I even consider DineOpen?
Honestly, for most Saudi restaurants, Foodics is the safer choice today. ZATCA e-invoicing is not optional in Saudi Arabia, and Foodics says its system keeps you compliant. We do not make that claim for DineOpen.
Foodics publishes its website in Arabic and English, and has Foodics Pay for digital payments with daily settlement to your bank. In September 2026 it launched Foodics Black for full-service dine-in restaurants. That is a lot of local depth, and we would rather you pick the right tool than pick us.
What about Talabat orders?
This is where DineOpen is useful for Gulf restaurants. Talabat orders come into DineOpen automatically, so the cashier is not copying orders from a tablet into the POS during the Friday rush.
Foodics lists delivery aggregators in its UAE Advanced plan and has an app marketplace with delivery and online ordering apps. Ask their team which aggregators are covered for your country and plan. One more thing to be clear about: DineOpen does not integrate with Deliveroo.
What do I get with DineOpen?
A full restaurant app: table management, waiter app, KOT to kitchen printers by station, a kitchen display, QR menu ordering and WhatsApp ordering. Inventory with recipes, loyalty and customer credit, and multi-outlet reports for owners with more than one branch.
Staff roles, attendance and payroll are in the same app, which helps a shawarma shop in Sharjah with a dozen staff on rotating shifts. It runs on Android, iPhone and iPad, Windows or a browser, and prints to Bluetooth, USB or network thermal printers. Send us your menu on WhatsApp and we will help set it up for free.
