DineOpen vs DotPe: which one should you choose?
DotPe is known for QR ordering, online stores and payments, and its restaurant POS is called Rista. DineOpen is an all-in-one restaurant app with a public price. Here is a straight comparison, including the places where DotPe is ahead.
Pick DotPe if digital ordering, payments and Swiggy or Zomato sync are the heart of your business, because it does those well and we do not sync aggregator orders. Pick DineOpen if you mainly serve dine-in guests and want floor, kitchen and staff in one app from ₹899 a month, with a 7-day free trial.

Which one is cheaper for a small restaurant?
DotPe does not put prices on its website. Its FAQ says pricing depends on what you need and asks you to get in touch. So the only honest answer is: get a written yearly quote from DotPe, add any payment or add-on charges, and compare that to our number.
Our number is simple. DineOpen starts from ₹899 a month in India. A small dhaba-style restaurant with eight tables can sign up, put the menu in, and bill for a week on a free trial before deciding.
What is DotPe actually good at?
DotPe grew around digital ordering and payments. Its website puts QR ordering, online stores, payments and delivery integrations right at the front. If you want your own ordering website, QR at tables with payment built in, and Swiggy and Zomato orders flowing into one dashboard, DotPe covers all of that under one company.
It also sells to retail and service businesses, not only restaurants. That breadth helps if you run a bakery with a retail counter and want one vendor for both.
What if I sell on Swiggy and Zomato?
DotPe says it has two-way integrations with Swiggy, Zomato and Amazon Foods, covering orders, menu, prices and stock. That is a real advantage over us.
DineOpen does not sync Swiggy or Zomato orders automatically. You can record each app order in DineOpen and tag the platform so reports show sales by app, but someone has to enter it. A family restaurant that does mostly dine-in will barely notice. A delivery-first kitchen will.
Where does DineOpen do better?
You can see our price and start without a sales call. The whole restaurant floor is covered in one app: tables, waiter app, KOT to kitchen printers by station, kitchen display, QR menu and WhatsApp ordering.
The back office is in there too. Inventory with recipes, staff roles, attendance and payroll, loyalty and customer credit, and multi-outlet reports. It runs on Android, iPhone and iPad, Windows or a browser, with Bluetooth, USB or network thermal printers. And if you open in Dubai later, the same system gives VAT invoices and takes Talabat orders in automatically.
Who should pick DotPe
- You want QR ordering, your own ordering website and payments from one company.
- Swiggy, Zomato or Amazon Foods bring in a big share of your orders and you want them synced.
- You run retail or service businesses alongside your restaurant.
- You prefer a guided demo and a sales contact over setting things up yourself.
Who should pick DineOpen
- You run a dine-in restaurant, café or bar and want one app for the floor, kitchen and staff.
- You want to know the price before you talk to anyone.
- You need staff attendance and payroll alongside billing.
- You have or plan an outlet in the Gulf and want Talabat orders to come in automatically.
Questions owners ask us
How much does DotPe cost?
DotPe does not publish prices. Its own FAQ says pricing depends on your needs and asks you to contact them, so it is pricing on request. DineOpen starts from ₹899 a month in India with a 7-day free trial and no card needed.
Is DotPe the same as Rista?
They are linked. The terms on ristaapps.com say Rista Apps is operated by DotPe Private Limited, so Rista is the restaurant POS within DotPe’s wider set of products. DotPe also sells QR ordering, online stores, payments and delivery tools for retail and service businesses.
Does DineOpen connect to Swiggy and Zomato like DotPe?
Not automatically. DotPe says it has two-way integrations with Swiggy, Zomato and Amazon Foods for orders, menu, pricing and stock. DineOpen does not sync Swiggy or Zomato orders today. You can enter those orders against the platform and see sales by platform in reports.
Which is better for QR ordering at tables?
Both do QR menu ordering. DotPe has made QR ordering and digital payments a big part of its business, with an online store and payment integration around it. DineOpen gives you QR ordering tied to tables, KOT and billing in the same app, plus WhatsApp ordering.
Can I try either before paying?
