DineOpen vs Rista: which one suits your restaurant?
Rista is the restaurant POS from DotPe, and it is strong with delivery-heavy and multi-brand kitchens. DineOpen is simpler to start with and shows its price upfront. Here is how they actually differ, including where Rista does the job better.
If most of your orders come from Swiggy and Zomato, or you run several brands from one kitchen, Rista is likely the better fit because it syncs aggregator orders and we do not. If you run a dine-in restaurant or café and want a clear price from ₹899 a month with a 7-day free trial, DineOpen is the easier place to start.

Which one is cheaper for a single café?
We honestly cannot give you a rupee-for-rupee answer, because Rista does not publish its prices. You fill a form and their team calls you with a quote. That is normal for POS companies in India, but it means you should ask for the full yearly number, including any add-ons, before you compare.
DineOpen starts from ₹899 a month in India and the price is on our pricing page. Take a 40-seat café in Pune. You can set it up on the Android tablet you already have, connect a Bluetooth thermal printer, and run it for a week before paying anything.
What if I sell on Swiggy and Zomato?
This is where Rista is clearly ahead, and we would rather tell you now than after you sign up. Rista talks about two-way integration with aggregators, auto-accepting online orders and payout reports split by Swiggy and Zomato.
DineOpen does not pull Swiggy or Zomato orders in automatically. Your cashier can punch those orders in and tag the platform, so your daily report still shows how much came from each app. For a dine-in restaurant that gets a handful of delivery orders a day, that is fine. For a delivery-heavy kitchen doing 150 app orders a night, it is extra typing you probably do not want.
I run a cloud kitchen with three brands. Which fits?
Rista is built with this in mind. It mentions multi-brand invoices from one system and one inventory for items that several brands share, such as the same paneer going into a biryani brand and a wraps brand.
DineOpen gives you multi-outlet reports, inventory with recipes and staff management, but if your whole business is three brands on the delivery apps, the missing Swiggy and Zomato sync will hurt more than anything else on this page.
What do I get with DineOpen that is worth a look?
The day-to-day pieces are all there: table management, a waiter app, KOT to kitchen printers by station or a kitchen display, QR menu ordering and WhatsApp ordering. Staff roles, attendance and payroll sit in the same app, so the owner of a 25-staff restaurant is not juggling a separate HR sheet.
We also help with setup. Send us your menu on WhatsApp and our team will help you get it into the system for free. And if you have an outlet in the Gulf, the same account gives VAT invoices there and takes Talabat orders in automatically.

Questions owners ask us
How much does Rista cost compared to DineOpen?
Rista does not list its prices on ristaapps.com, so it is pricing on request and you will need a quote from their team. DineOpen starts from ₹899 a month in India, and you can try it free for 7 days without a card.
Who makes Rista?
The terms on ristaapps.com say Rista Apps is managed and operated by DotPe Private Limited. So if you are talking to DotPe about a POS, Rista is likely the product you will be shown.
Does DineOpen pull Swiggy and Zomato orders automatically like Rista?
No. Rista advertises two-way integration with aggregators and Swiggy and Zomato payout reports. DineOpen does not sync Swiggy or Zomato orders automatically today. You can record those orders in DineOpen against the platform and see sales by platform in reports, but your staff enters them. If most of your orders come from the apps, this matters a lot.
Can I run several brands from one kitchen on either system?
Rista says it can generate multi-brand invoices and keep one inventory for items shared across brands. DineOpen handles multiple outlets with combined reports. For a cloud kitchen running three brands on Swiggy and Zomato, Rista is built more directly for that setup.
Which devices do they run on?
Rista offers downloads for Windows and Android on its website. DineOpen runs on Android, iPhone and iPad, Windows and in any browser, and prints to Bluetooth, USB or network thermal printers.
